Adult Basic Ed Teacher - Long term sub

Part-Time, 6 months (85 days), 8 hours a day.
Schedule Monday thru Friday; possibility of one night per week.
Physical Locations Anoka-Ramsey Community College (ARCC) and possibly online.
Duties Provide direct instruction to adults in developmental-level math courses at ARCC.
Collaborate with college instructors to support students in class, separate support sessions, and through online learning platforms.
Duties include lesson planning, direct instruction, ongoing assessments, monitoring student attendance, attending staff meetings, collaborating with other staff, and keeping student records.
Successful candidates can utilize cooperative teaching strategies during instruction, integrate technology into learning, and implement the CCRS/ACES/NorthStar standards (training available). Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Current MN Teaching License (any K-12) or ABE license.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to be flexible and function well in a busy environment.
Ability to work as a team member.
Computer skills required.
Must be physically working in the building/onsite.
Preferred Qualifications
High confidence in math skills through college algebra.
Experience using cooperative teaching strategies during instruction.
Proficiency in integrating technology into learning environments.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Computer experience and comfort with MS Office (Word, Excel), Internet, email, and Google apps.
Rate of Pay According to district scale DOE. View additional terms and benefits here.
