Under the general direction of the Elevator District Office Senior Safety Engineer (Elevators), the Office Technician (Typing) will perform a variety of administrative functions for the Elevator Unit District Office, with the Division of Occupational Safety and Health.

Working Conditions Division of Occupational Safety and Health - Elevator District Office – Santa Ana
2 MacArthur Place, Suite 700, Santa Ana, CA 92707.
The incumbent works in an air conditioned office building with natural and artificial lighting and temperature control. In addition, the incumbent works in a cubicle in close proximity to others in a typical office setting. Typical work requires use of the computer and telephone for extended periods of time and interaction with co-workers.
Permanent.
Full time.
Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Special Requirements
The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired. Additional information regarding acceptable typing tests is available at the CalCareers.ca.gov website.
This position requires the incumbent to perform sustained typing of at least 40 words per minute. Typing Certificate – 40 WPM typing certificate issued within the last four (4) years and certified from a five (5) minute typing test.
