About the Role

POAH Communities is seeking a Janitor. The primary responsibility of the janitorial functions will be to maintain a clean property and perform light maintenance. The position will require responding to housekeeping and basic repair work orders, transporting equipment, assisting with the turning of vacant units, performing clean‑up of work areas, maintaining grounds, and preparing for weather phenomena.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to housekeeping and basic repair work orders in a timely manner, closing within 24 hours of submission Transport equipment, furnishings, and appliances to work area Assist with the turning of vacant units within three business days Perform clean‑up of work areas Maintain grounds through trash management and landscaping Prepare for and respond to weather phenomena such as hurricanes, tornadoes, flooding, snow, and ice Maintain cleanliness of maintenance shop

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Able to lift up to 75 pounds Must be able to work in all weather conditions Strong verbal, written, and customer service communications are essential Positive attitude Team player Willingness to learn
