Commercial Title Insurance Processor
to join our clients real estate practice in Nashville, TN. This role involves working on complex, high-liability commercial real estate transactions across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities
Support attorneys on mixed-finance transactions, including matters involving nonprofits, affordable housing, and low-income housing tax credit developments.
Underwrite purchase, refinance, leasehold, and construction commercial transactions by evaluating title search data, surveys, and zoning.
Draft and issue title commitments, policies, and endorsements in compliance with state‑specific and national underwriting standards.
Review and clear title exceptions, resolve curative issues, and communicate with stakeholders to eliminate deal blockers.
Maintain accurate file documentation and prepare reports on open files, issued policies, and revenue metrics.
Serve as the primary contact for clients, attorneys, and title companies to provide and seek underwriting guidance.
Support compliance efforts through file audits, AR tracking, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in commercial title underwriting, including Tennessee transactions.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and title production/escrow software (e.g., SoftPro Select, Rynoh).
Active underwriter license(s) in TN preferred.
Strong knowledge of commercial title insurance practices, escrow, ALTA standards, and legal documentation.
