Laborer – Telecom Underground
Location: Flagstaff and Prescott Valley, AZ.
Position type: Full‑time; Entry level.

Pay Range $16.35 – $21.15 per hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Dig using hand shovel and mechanical tools.
Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling.
Climb in and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, etc.).
Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
Work in congested or remote areas.
Maintain visual and audible contact with crew and other moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor.
Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Be 18 years of age or older.
Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
Pass a background check and company drug screening.
High school diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
Valid standard driver’s license or Class A commercial driver’s license.
Additional Qualifications
Basic knowledge and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment safely.
Basic knowledge and ability to use hand tools and equipment safely.
Experience in the utility construction industry (preferred).
Ability to read and interpret utility maps/prints.
Effective communication skills with customers and employees.
Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
Availability for overtime, after‑hours, weekends, emergencies, or on‑call shifts.
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Physical & Safety Requirements
Exposure to dust, fumes, airborne pathogens.
Exposure to toxic or corrosive chemicals and moving machinery parts.
Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision and ability to adjust focus near and far.
