Serve students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness and friendliness.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and minimum age of 18
Food preparation experience
Ability to comply with any state food permit/health requirements
Experience in quantity food preparation and inventory control is preferred
Demonstrated aptitude for successful performance of responsibilities
Must pass a physical examination
Ability to read simple written directions
Performance Responsibilities
Assists in the preparation of food portions and prepares cafeteria counter for serving
Serves students and staff from the cafeteria counter
Removes used dishes and assists in cleaning of counters, tables and furnishings in the dining area
Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary condition
Cleans and washes all equipment used in cooking
Keeps own working area clean with the help of the person or persons assigned to work with the cook and baker
Checks in food and supplies in the absence of manager
Prepares breads, desserts, and salad for noon meal
Maintains high standards of health, sanitation and safety
Observes parish policies regarding punctuality and absenteeism
Abides by the rules and regulations found in the St. Martin Parish Policy Handbook
Assumes other related responsibilities as assigned by Principal and Cafeteria Manager
Selection Procedure Interview will be conducted by a school-level, bi-racial committee consisting of four people.
