Position Summary The Automotive Technician plays a pivotal role within our automotive service team, learning diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under senior technicians. The role involves schedule maintenance, inspections, customer interaction, and high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay Range $19.55 – $29.33 per hour (flat‑rate pay with performance bonuses)
Responsibilities
Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
Install batteries and check electrical systems.
Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
Road test vehicles.
Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications (A1–A8) within the first two years of employment; company pays test fees and rewards each test passed.
Minimum Qualifications
Basic mechanical aptitude and drive to learn tasks.
Valid automobile driver's license; able to drive customer and company vehicles.
Understanding of general maintenance and tire repair: oil changes, basic inspections, tire repair.
Reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational‑technical program or equivalent certification.
A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications.
