Press Brake Operator – Malones CNC Machining Inc.
Job Location: Grove, OK
Reports to: Sheetmetal Fabricator Lead / Manufacturing Manager
Job Description A Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up the press brake machine and running the job.
Job Responsibilities
Operator Press Brake Equipment: Setup and operate with the correct tooling.
Run test part to ensure setup is correct.
Perform the first article check; verify that components meet quality standards by conducting inspections and documenting results. Report any discrepancies or non-conformances to lead or manager.
Submit verified first article to quality team for acceptance on traveler.
Continue to self-inspect part throughout the run to ensure quality. Log into a job via the data collection system; keep track of times on job.
Review the job and count the parts to be worked daily.
Log out of the job via the data collection system after completing the job.
Video process for repeatability next time.
Break down setup and put tooling away.
Collaboration: Work closely with co-workers and lead to troubleshoot any issues.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documents (work traveler / part tags / etc.).
Read & interpret blueprints, specifications & other internal documents.
Use inspection equipment such as gauges/tooling.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have 5+ years of experience operating press brakes (Amada Machines preferred).
Understanding and ability to define and communicate (both verbally & written).
Blueprint reading, including full scale millars.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Press brake machine setup skills.
Use hand‑held measuring tools and general tool knowledge.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self‑starter requiring minimal supervision.
Effective teamwork, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Physical Demands
Position may require use of hands & arms with repetitive motion & reach.
Position may require manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment.
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.
Position may require the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Position may require the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Position may require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Position may require the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 30-75 pounds (50-75 lbs would have partner assistance).
Position may require activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
Work Environment The plant is a machining environment, collaborating with quality control teams and other technicians to ensure the highest precision in parts and products. The role may involve working in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment where attention to detail is crucial. Safety glasses are always required in production areas. OSHA regulations are followed.
Salary $22.00 per hour
