Key Responsibilities

Match job file program with material required for job

Load material on machine

Ensure correct tooling is in place for the job.

Execute job file program.

Monitor machine performance to ensure program is executing properly.

Be alert for broken tool or errant tool path.

Unload and deburr completed parts.

Qualifications Required

Mechanical—Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Mathematics—Knowledge of arithmetic

Design—Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Engineering and Technology—Be able to apply principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Experience Required

Candidates with large format digital print experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Vocational school or 1–3 years of related experience preferred.

Competencies Required

Must be able to quality inspect, deburr, and label all parts as needed.

Must be able to maintain and clean machinery as needed daily.

Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.

Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

Stop machines to remove finished workpieces or to change tooling, setup, or workpiece placement, according to required machining sequences.

Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.

Check to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operation.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate the telephone, type and operate computer and mouse.

The employee is frequently required to talk, hear, and bend and twist neck.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
