Innovative Metallurgist Specializing in Vanadium Processing and Materials Optimization We are a Heavy Industry Metals Manufacturer located in Southeast Ohio seeking a dynamic and experienced Metallurgist to join our thriving Manufacturing team.

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Job Details As a Metallurgist, you will play a pivotal role in contributing to the development, production, and improvement of our metal products. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast‑paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed analysis and examination of all types of metals and alloys to determine their physical and chemical properties.

Develop and modify metallurgical processes and procedures to optimize production.

Collaborate with the design and manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of new product designs.

Provide technical guidance and support to the manufacturing team related to metallurgical issues.

Investigate and resolve production issues related to metal properties and performance.

Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.

Monitor and evaluate the performance of materials during production and post‑production to ensure quality and durability.

Stay up‑to‑date with the latest advancements in metallurgy and incorporate new methods and technologies into our processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or a related field.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a metallurgical role.

Strong understanding of metallurgical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in using metallurgical lab equipment and conducting material tests.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex metallurgical issues.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to non‑technical stakeholders.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of metallurgy.
