As a Machine Operator II, you are responsible for setting up, cleaning and operating your machine(s) and ensuring that individual production levels are met according to scope and requirements of the job. You may have advanced knowledge of a particular type of equipment as well as operational knowledge of other equipment. You are also responsible for ensuring that the area is performing to production targets and according to Safety, SOP, GMP and FDA regulatory compliance requirements.

How Will You Contribute

Operate machine(s) (i.e. Tablets, Capsules, Coating Pans, PK Blenders, Ribbon Blenders, Weighing). May have advanced knowledge of certain equipment.

Can proficiently operate multiple machine centers.

Able to assist in training new employees on machine operation and relevant SOP’s.

Trained on various auxiliary equipment (i.e. Inspection Belts, Hobart Mixer, Sweco, Comil, Fitzmill).

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills during production runs.

Basic preventative maintenance functions including lubrication.

Prepares containers for product storage or shipment.

Monitors machine and makes adjustments as appropriate.

Tear down, clean and set up machines and rooms as needed.

Maintain, inspect and properly store equipment and tooling.

Ensure batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are current and record information as required.

Monitors product quality such as weight, thickness, hardness, friability, fitness, and for visual or organoleptic defects.

Reports process and equipment problems to supervisor. Assists in solutions.

Follows established department SOPs, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.

Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.

Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.

Performs other job duties related to the job as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate.

One (1) year technical training from a technical school; or

One (1) or more years of work experience in a fast‑paced work environment; or

Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Work Environment

May be exposed to an environment that involves unpleasant and noxious fumes and odors. Personal Protective Equipment provided as necessary.

Lifting limitations: 30‑50 lbs. May have to manipulate heavier containers.

Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time during the work shift.

Routinely required to stoop, bend, kneel, lift, reach, pull, push, and tilt objects in the performance of job function.

Noise level is typically moderate to high. Some work areas require hearing protection for an 8‑hour work day.

Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Personal Protective Equipment provided as necessary.

May involve chemicals, solutions, detergents, or solvents that require safety precautions and may include use of personal protective equipment.

May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree nuts, and Sesame.

This position is currently classified as on‑site.

Base hourly range: $17.50–$19.50 per hour, based on candidate experience level. Employees are eligible to participate in Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 401(k), Holidays, Vacation, Tuition Reimbursement Program.
