Job Overview The
Automotive Technician
ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently, maintains a high level of customer satisfaction, and adheres to all MAP guidelines and company standards.
Compensation and Benefits Compensation:
$20-$50 flag rate depending on experience

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
Perform complex and heavy-duty repairs.
Complete work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including the Store Manager, Service Consultants, and customers.
Recommend services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle running; document all recommendations in the customer file.
Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to the Shop Foreman or Store Manager.
Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew expiring certifications.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Preferred: unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training.
Possess a current and valid driver's license.
Ability to work Monday – Saturday.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands The
Automotive Technician
will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and may include extreme heat and/or extreme cold. Safety goggles or other PPE may be required.
Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and be able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building.
Bend, stoop, kneel and crouch regularly; must have full range of motion with arms and hands and be able to handle or finger objects frequently.
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus.
