Position Overview
The Automotive Technician ensures that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians and that the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction. They are also responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing customer vehicles while adhering to the MAP guidelines and in accordance with dealership, manufacturers, and Tire Works standards. Pay
– $20‑$50 flag rate depending on experience. Benefits

Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience. Perform complex and heavy‑duty repairs. Carry out work as outlined on the multi‑point inspection and/or repair order with efficiency and accuracy. Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non‑mechanical individuals, including store manager, service consultants, and/or customers. Recommend services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle running; properly document all recommendations in the customer file. Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to the shop foreman or store manager. Maintain appropriate ASE certifications and renew expiring certifications. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer unexpired ASE or equivalent experience or training. Possess a current and valid driver’s license. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to work Monday–Saturday. Working Conditions and Physical Demands
The Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non‑hazardous materials. The temperature in the work environment varies and may include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on ambient temperatures outside. PPE such as safety goggles may be required. Physical requirements: Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and walk to access various areas. Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly; must have full range of motion with arms and hands. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently. Communicate with customers and shop personnel. Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and refocus.
