As a Machine Operator II you are responsible to use computer numerically controlled machinery safely and accurately and the ability to work with great concentration and precision. Must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.

Responsibilities

Ability to operate all machinery such as rail/bar saws/drills, CNC Mills.

Familiarity with Computer Numerical Control (CNC) software and machinery used for computer-aided manufacturing.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Ability to convert drawing requirements into a program for CNC Equipment using G-Code and M-Code or modifying existing programs.

Responsible for adjusting machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications and in a timely fashion.

Review and understand daily production schedule.

Ability to adjust work holding clamps/fixtures as necessary when setting up a new part.

Perform Pre-shift equipment inspections. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual circumstances.

Perform first article inspection.

Monitor operations and take corrective action as required.

Verification of parts being produced by maintaining established quality standards and follow quality procedures.

Prepare and maintain records and reports as needed.

Ensure that work area and equipment is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Understand and adhere to plant safety and quality policies.

Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tools.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

Strong organizational skills to manage time effectively and meet production deadlines.

All other duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, & License Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

2-3+ years of experience operating machinery in a production environment required.

2-3+ years of experience working in production environment required.

Experience with Haas Mills is desirable

Ability to measure and inspect parts using precise measurement devices.

Ability to use math to take precise measurements and make calculations.

Ability to follow complex written instructions with clear stated guidelines and procedures.

Ability to perform actions without being prompted.

Ability to work with hands, loading, unloading, stacking bars, and using grinders.

Ability to operate hand tools.

Ability to lift 70 lbs.

Ability to accurately read a tape measure and micrometer.

Ability to identify the material differences.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues efficiently.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
