Western Specialty Contractors is currently looking for self-motivated, top-notch individuals to help serve our customers as a Bricklayer Caulker at our Cleveland branch. Union membership is not required to apply – new employees will receive information about union membership and benefits during onboarding. As a member of the branch production team, you will be responsible for the performance of work within a particular work area and in accordance with generally accepted standards of the craft.
Laying bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level.
Working safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights.
Using equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks.
Preparing surfaces by cutting and/or grinding out problem areas of walls and floors.
Cutting out, repairing, preparing, packing and caulking joints of walls and floors.
Spraying, brushing, rolling or applying material to surfaces of walls and floors as specified.
May be required to rig mobile and stationary scaffolding in accordance with corporate guidelines.
