The responsibility of the
Bed Liner Repair
position is to ensure consistency and quality of vehicle surfaces, prior to being sprayed. This includes hands‑on processes such as sanding and smoothing of surfaces as well as the potential removal or installation of vehicle parts, all with close adherence to production, quality, and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sanding and smoothing to get surfaces of the vehicle smooth and consistent as a whole before they are sprayed a second time due to defect(s).
May include the removal of the part.
Filling defects with two‑part epoxy fillers.
Completion of paperwork required.
Maintain communications with Shift Supervisor on product quality conditions.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
Education
Minimum Required: Minimum Grade 12 Education is required.
Preferred: Certificate or diploma in a relevant field considered a bonus.
Experience
Minimum Required: At least 2 years sanding and surfacing experience in one of the following environments: Body shop (automotive or marine), Collision shop, or Production line.
Preferred: 2+ years relevant sanding and surfacing experience.
Use of DA sanders and die grinder sanders is a must.
Familiar with TS and ISO Requirements.
Attention to detail is a must.
Physical ability to wear a respirator supported by pre‑placement medicals and fit testing.
Working Conditions The following working conditions are present or expected on a daily basis:
Manufacturing environment with no managerial assignments or responsibilities.
Continued exposure to weather elements, automotive vehicles, chemicals, robotics, industrial and manufacturing equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs. with limited accommodations and flexible working positions as required.
Must comply with all Company policies, procedures and work instructions.
Personal Protective Equipment must be worn at all times while on the production floor.
