Base pay range $18.00/hr – $20.00/hr

Position Summary The Quality Control Technician ensures the integrity and safety of both raw ingredients and finished goods through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality standards and quality assurance practices in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections of raw materials and finished goods on the production floor

Collect and prepare product samples for third‑party laboratory testing

Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs) and ensure compliance with HACCP and GMP standards

Perform visual checks for foreign material, packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, and allergen control

Document inspection results, deviations, and corrective actions in accordance with QC protocols

Communicate quality concerns to Quality leadership promptly

Support traceability efforts by maintaining sample retention logs and batch records

Assist with internal audits, mock recalls, and third‑party inspections

Provide guidance to employees on inspection procedures and best practices

Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for enhancement and suggesting solutions

Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience in quality control strongly preferred

Familiarity with HACCP and GMP regulations preferred

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures

Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting

Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments

Comfortable working in a production environment with exposure to allergens, noise, and temperature variation

Working Conditions

Exposure to loud machinery, dust, and food‑grade oils may occur.

Employees must wear appropriate PPE, such as gloves, hairnets, and ear protection.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to stand for extended periods (up to 8‑10 hours per shift).

Regularly lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

Perform repetitive tasks, including bending, twisting, and reaching.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet production quotas.
