Controls Technician - 2nd Shift
dormakaba Americas is hiring a Controls Technician for the second shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) in Indianapolis, IN. The Control Technician will install, program, test, calibrate, operate, and repair control systems, along with their related software, hardware, and equipment.
Hourly Hiring Range $34.00 /hr – $37.00 /hr plus 1 hr shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed.
What You Will Do
Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to control and monitoring systems and perform needed repairs.
Test and calibrate system devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring systems.
Install, modify, and maintain system hardware such as electrical conduit, sensor wiring, power supplies, and control system enclosures.
Maintain and operate workstations, including creating/updating a point database and maintaining infrastructure.
Program control systems using appropriate system program language for proper sequences of operations and operating schedules.
What We Require
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience installing and maintaining building/plant control systems and their related equipment.
Experience with PC and application software.
Knowledge of Ladder logic and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).
What We Prefer
2+ years of electrical technical training.
Associate’s degree in a related technical field.
