Join our team as an Advanced Computerized Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist,where your expertise will be essential in manufacturing power generationequipment and their subassemblies. You will adhere to safety requirements,interpret engineering drawings, and execute manufacturing processes accordingto specific work instructions while validating your work with electronicquality control documentation. In this role, you will perform precise setups,utilize specialized fixtures, and collaborate with your technical support teamto enhance processes. Your contributions will foster a culture of continuousimprovement, and you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge andexperiences, enriching the team’s collective expertise. You will workindependently and collaboratively to ensure successful product delivery to ourglobal customers. How You’ll Make an Impact
Adhere to all safety rules to maintain asecure working environment.
Demonstrate proficiency in operating CNCLathes effectively.
Read and interpret CNC programs, includingfamiliarity with G & M codes.
Perform minor edits to CNC programs toenhance efficiency and minimize errors.
Build pre-set tooling as needed forspecific machining processes.
Interpret engineering blueprints andwritten instructions accurately.
Apply concepts of geometrical tolerancingin your work.
Execute machining processes using bothimperial and metric systems.
Set up and utilize various measuring andinspection gauges, including ID and OD micrometers and bore gauges.
Control machining tolerances within therange of 0.0005” – 0.005”.
Experience with Siemens 840D and Fanuccontrols is a valuable asset.
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Strong commitment to adhering to allsafety requirements.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning andTolerancing (GD&T) is essential.
Minimum of 5 years of CNC machiningexperience, with proficiency in at least one of the following: Lathe,Vertical Mill, or Horizontal Mill.
Proficiency in machine setups, toolselection, program offsets, G-codes, M-codes, troubleshooting, metrology,and blueprint reading.
Strong understanding of shop mathematicsand the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and utilizeprecision measuring instruments.
Excellent communication skills to conveyinformation clearly and effectively.
Moderate physical demand with some liftingrequired (less than 50 lbs).
Ability to work with written, oral, orgraphic instructions.
Successful applicants mustpass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests as required. Achievement of the CareerReadiness/Work Keys Certificate at Silver Status is required. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the UnitedStates without need for current or future employer-sponsored workauthorization.
