A Snapshot of Your Day
The primary purpose of this position is to prepare parts,operate equipment and processes for the application of Thermal Spray oncomponent parts. The process can be manual and include automation, combinedwith multiple varying parameters to produce specific thermal coatingstructures.
How You'll Make an Impact
Operate controls to activate robots and applygases/powders for coating structures that meet specifications, while alsopreparing and post-processing components for Thermal Spray.
Utilize surface preparation equipment andperform manual tasks such as masking, part conditioning, and blending asneeded.
Maintain equipment functionality by addingmedia/powder, checking barrels, changing nozzles/hoses, and ensuring properfluid levels and alignment.
Interpret technical documents (drawings,blueprints, specifications) to determine necessary tools for operations andensure compliance with Siemens standards.
Load/unload parts using authorized materialhandling devices and assist with crane operations, while maintaining detailedrecords and adhering to quality checks.
Maintain a clean work area through preventativemaintenance, proper storage of tools, and assist co-workers as needed, adaptingto shifting priorities and team dynamics.
What you Bring
Operation and knowledge of the following isrequired
Preparation of components including masking,surface protection of surfaces from overspray, operation of Surface Preparationmachines and post processing of residual overspray and surface finish.
Operation and control Robotics, includingtoolpath of robots and flow control of gas fuels. Adjustments to programs andgas flows to control desired Thermal Spray results.
2-4 years of CNC experience operating roboticsand auxiliary equipment.
HS Diploma or GED Requited
Applicants must be authorized to work in the USwithout the need for sponsorship.
Other Key Requirements · Successful applicants must pass standardhearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests. Career Readiness/Work KeysCertificate - Silver Status required
