Industrial Mechanic Menards – Eau Claire, WI

Paid Trainee positions immediately available. Additional compensation given based on previous experience and education.

Shift Schedule

1st shift (approximately 6‑7 am until 2‑3 pm)

2nd shift (approximately 3‑4 pm until 11 pm‑12 am) + Shift Differential

3rd shift (approximately 10‑11 pm until 6‑7 am) + Shift Differential

Responsibilities

Ensure regular preventive maintenance is performed on all equipment.

Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair of equipment.

Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.

Installation of new equipment.

Welding and metal fabrication of parts in need of repair.

Repairs and maintenance to buildings and grounds for the Distribution Center.

Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the implementation of all maintenance safety programs.

Qualifications

Ability to lift up to 50‑70 lbs.

Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Ability to stand, sit, bend, reach, stoop, and pull for extended periods.

Willingness to work additional hours.

Mechanical experience with a strong desire to continuously learn.

Preferred: Preventive Maintenance experience.

Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.

Hydraulic and pneumatic repair experience.

3‑phase AC and DC electrical testing experience.

Electric forklift repair experience.

Conveyor maintenance & repair experience.

Variable Frequency Drives and motor soft starters experience.

PLC programming and schematic reading experience.

Welding and metal fabrication experience.

Education in any of these areas is a plus but not required.
