POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs the carpentry dutiesnecessary to maintain in good repair building woodwork and equipment such as bins, cribs, counters, benches, partitions, doors, floors, stairs, casings, and trim made of wood. Work involves use ofstandard hand and power carpentry tools to measure, cut, assemble, and finishwork including painting or texturing. Responsible for use of established safety equipment, materials and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must have demonstrated satisfactory skills and good performance as a Carpenter. Must have three years progressive experience as a Carpenter or have graduated from a two-year resident course at a vocational institute or a recognized apprenticeship program. Must possess a valid driver's license. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Work will include associated cross-utilization other jobs as required. May requires some overtime and/or weekend work.
