Basic Qualifications
High School Education or GED equivalency.
1 year Machine Shop Operations experience.
Desired Qualifications
1-3 years machine shop experience in a manufacturing environment
Education and/or training in machine shop operations
Experience in a self-directed team environment
Familiarity with 5S & lean manufacturing knowledge.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools and measuring devices (i.e. - dial calipers, rulers, tape measures, protractors, micrometers, gauges, etc.) as required within department.
Basic understanding of blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
Prior working knowledge of machine shop operations.
Operate CNC equipment.
Operate any type and size of single spindle or multiple spindles on a variety of operations (drilling, reaming, boring, tapping, spot facing, countersinking, etc).
Use all tools, jigs, fixtures, and gages necessary to perform operations.
Work with close tolerances and fine finishes.
Perform tool offset and load parts.
Perform job responsibilities according to internal process specifications and third-party requirements.
Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures.
Participate in team initiatives.
Receive guidance from experienced employees.
Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products.
Participate in and support team initiatives.
Understand and abide by the GE Leadership behaviors.
Other duties as be required.
Physical Demands
Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 20 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.

Compensation $21.6/hour. The position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan.
