We are seeking a skilled and meticulous Prepress Technician to prepare and manage digital files for a variety of printing processes. In this role, you will be the final checkpoint for all client artwork, ensuring all files are correctly formatted, color‑calibrated, and print‑ready. The ideal candidate is a problem‑solver with a strong technical background and a keen eye for detail.
Base pay range $23.00/hr - $28.00/hr
Responsibilities
Conduct preflight checks on all incoming client files to identify and fix potential issues related to fonts, resolution, file size, and color mode.
Prepare digital files for optimum proofing and production results.
Manage color profiles and perform color correction to ensure consistency across all projects.
Collaborate with the design, customer service, and press operator teams to communicate file issues and project updates.
Create proofs (digital and/or physical) for client approval.
Manage a high volume of print‑ready files in a timely and efficient manner.
Maintain an organized file structure and archive system for all project files.
Stay current with the latest prepress and printing technology and workflows.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as a Prepress Technician, including large‑format printing and finishing techniques.
Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Experience with prepress automated workflow software and RIPs.
Strong knowledge of layout principles, color management, and printing processes.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Excellent time‑management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
A resourceful and proactive problem‑solver.
