Assembler (Leads) – 3rd Shift Location: Lincoln Ave., Waukesha, WI

Hourly rate: $22.30 plus a $2.50 shift premium. Core hours are 11 pm–7 am; overtime may be required. Sign‑on bonus: $3,000 paid in two installments, subject to withholding.

What You’ll Do The Assembler (Leads) is responsible for welding aluminum, copper, and hooking up leads on secondary and primary coils and accessories for single‑ and three‑phase transformers.

In This Function You Will

Position and shape the leads for proper clearances within tank.

MIG weld aluminum leads to bus bars, bus bars to stub‑outs.

TIG weld copper bus bars.

Weld, glue, and crimp secondary leads to coil.

Assemble and hook up dual‑voltage switches, tap changers singularly or in gangs, and other accessories, considering positioning and clearances for tanking.

Fit and cut braces for secondary and primary leads, including layout; bolt onto core and coil frame.

Measure and cut leads to proper lengths; strip, insulate, and crimp terminals.

Perform fabrication rework on cores and parts as called for by NCRs and ECNs by engineering.

Minor coil repair as needed.

Operate forklift and overhead crane.

Read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED.

Eaton will not consider immigration sponsorship. No relocation is offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI (active‑duty military exempt).

Preferred:

Previous electrical experience or education in AC/DC.

One‑year Technical Diploma in welding or equivalent experience.

Skills

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).

Ability to work overtime when required.
