Reports to the GWP Plant Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Understand the basics of the Enroute software and learn how to use the machine's interface pad.
Assist with the periodic maintenance of the CNC machine.
Perform set-ups & knockdowns; help make & install jigs.
Communicates regularly to process products efficiently.
Is indirectly connected to the CNC Dept. Supervisor.
Load, unload, and handle all materials being processed on the equipment while not allowing the machine to idle once production has begun.
Follow company safety protocols for machine procedures.
Assist in general production when needed.
Credentials, Education, and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience operating CNC routers preferred.
Experience working on a variety of production equipment.
Experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Knowledge of safety laws and regulations.
Strong mathematical and mechanical skills.
Attention to detail and quality of work are priorities.
Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.
Physical Demands
Heavy physical demands. Must be able to stand for most of the day and easily and frequently lift and carry 25-75 lbs. Work frequently requires the ability to climb, reach, pull, stoop, crawl, and bend.
Requires the ability to stand on hard surfaces for long periods. May encounter foot and leg fatigue, backaches, and other types of muscle fatigue.
Environment and Physical Working Conditions
Work indoors in a manufacturing setting. Often works in hot/humid conditions and cold/damp conditions. The work tends to be repetitive and physically demanding.
May be exposed to harmful materials, fumes, odors, loud noise, and dangerous machinery. To avoid injury, workers must wear safety clothing, such as gloves, eye/ear protection, and safety shoes where required.
