The NCDAC / Support Services / Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) is recruiting for an energized and collaborative Maintenance/Construction Technician III (Region Maintenance Technician), to be a part of the Piedmont Regional Maintenance Team. This position has a duty station at Piedmont Regional Maintenance Yard in Asheboro, NC / Randolph County and will be tasked with completing general preventative maintenance and like-in-kind Force Account system replacements.
A successful candidate for this Maintenance/Construction Technician III (Region Maintenance Technician) position, shall have journeyman level experience in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of general systems (concrete, carpentry, finishes, masonry, etc.), equipment, and machinery; be able to work independently to complete work assignments received by a supervisor; read and interpret blueprints; and perform other assigned duties.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.
This position requires the daily commute to Piedmont Regional Maintenance Yard in Asheboro, NC / Randolph County. The work schedule is Monday – Friday and may require some weekend work and overnight travel to meet the demands of the organization.
