Machine Operator

Shift Monday – Thursday 5:30 am – 4:00 pm (10‑hour shift)
Job Purpose Machine Operators are system experts in their assigned area (packaging) and are highly functional in multiple areas. They operate and change specified machinery while ensuring safety, efficiency, operational conformance, product quality, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Run packaging/process equipment to complete the conversion process and package finished product prior to shipping in accordance with SOPs and specifications.
Load packaging material, clear jams, reset faults, perform changeovers, conduct quality checks, GMP checks, and report issues.
Execute basic preventive maintenance work orders (e.g., lubrication, observation) and enter corrective work order requests into the MIS.
Conform to all area LOTO and safety procedures, including wearing PPE and reporting any safety hazards.
Perform ad‑hoc tasks as required.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Mechanical aptitude
Basic troubleshooting skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Physical Requirements
Frequent lifting/carrying (10‑50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50‑200 lbs.)
Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping
Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, and lean over equipment
Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 10 hours)
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi‑task work in a very fast‑paced work environment

Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP
Operational experience

Starting at $20.29 /hr based on experience
