Mars Fishcare- Packaging Machine Operator- Chalfont, PA
Hourly rate based on experience starting at $22.10/hour +
Shift: Monday- Thursday 5:30am- 4pm (10 hour shift)

Description of Role: Packaging Machine Operators are packaging system experts responsible for operating and adjusting designated machinery, ensuring safety, efficiency, operational compliance and product quality, while actively driving continuous improvement.
What are we looking for? Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Mechanical aptitude
Basic troubleshooting skills
Proficient in MS office and email communications
Physical Requirements:
Can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling, and gripping.
Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, lean over equipment, and operate in confined spaces.
Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods, with shifts lasting 12 hours
Capable of working in hot, cold and wet conditions
Proficient in understanding, communicating, reading, and writing in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing experience
Knowledge of food safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
Operational experience
Packaging and/or process experience
What will be my key responsibilities?
Operate packaging equipment to complete the process and finished products for shipping, following all routine SOPs and specifications
Load packaging materials, clear jams, reset faults, perform changeovers, conduct quality checks, adhere to GMP standards and report any issues
Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks as assigned (e.g., lubrication, inspections) and submit corrective work order requests into the MIS system
Comply with all area Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and reporting safety hazards
Perform ad hoc tasks as needed
