Job Description Operate a KBA press, setting up, adjusting, operating, and maintaining press equipment. Perform make‑ready tasks, color corrections, and routine maintenance. Clean, lubricate, and maintain the press, making minor repairs and replacing worn or broken parts as required.
Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain press equipment.
Perform make‑ready tasks including hanging plates, inspecting plates for imperfections, and checking image positioning.
Pre‑prep blankets, adjust register, and make necessary color corrections before production runs.
Maintain cleanliness and lubrication of the press and conduct minor repairs.
Perform periodic maintenance as recommended by the manufacturer.
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, and equipment.
Skills to read job specifications and understand press capabilities to determine optimal press usage, settings, and materials.
Ability to make precise settings of controls, adjustments, and routine operational maintenance.
Proficiency in routine maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.
Knowledge of appropriate packing pressure for printing tasks.
Skill in using a micrometer to mount and align printing plates correctly.
Additional Information Compensation may include overtime, shift differential, call‑in, and/or stand‑by pay. Salary is determined based on education, qualifications, skill, experience, shift, location, and business needs.
