Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a 3-axis Haas milling machine to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and drawings.
Set up the milling machine, including loading and aligning workpieces, selecting and installing cutting tools, and setting machine parameters.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate machining of parts.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the milling machine to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Document production activities and maintain accurate records of machine settings, maintenance, and inspection results.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2 -5 years of experience operating a 3-axis Haas milling machine or similar CNC equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments to inspect parts and ensure quality.
Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed.
Stand, walk, and work in a noisy environment for extended periods.
Good manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
