CNC Mill Operator –
Architectural Metals Full‑Time
| Willoughby, OH | Competitive Pay + Benefits | 4–10 hr shifts Monday – Thursday 6am‑4pm
Job Summary The CNC Mill Operator is responsible for setting up, running, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce accurate, high‑quality parts. The ideal candidate has experience with precision machining, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing top‑tier work.
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC milling machines (vertical or horizontal)
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
Load materials, install tooling, and verify proper machine setup
Adjust offsets, speeds, and feeds to achieve optimal machining results
Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision tools
Perform basic G‑code edits when required
Maintain accuracy, surface finish, and tight tolerances
Keep machines clean, perform basic maintenance, and report issues
Work collaboratively with engineering and fabrication teams
Adhere to all safety standards and shop procedures
Qualifications
1–3+ years of CNC mill operation experience (Haas, Mazak, Fanuc, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
Basic G‑code knowledge (editing and troubleshooting)
Experience with metals common to architectural fabrication preferred
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
