Responsibilities
Material Flow:
Coordinate the movement of raw materials, in-process parts, and finished goods between inventory, mold shop, machine shop, quality, and shipping.
Production Support:
Stage materials, monitor work orders, and ensure operators have necessary stock for timely completion.
Communication Hub:
Liaise with program managers, purchasing, production leads, and supervisors on material status and potential delays.
Inventory Control:
Track stock levels, identify shortages, and assist in reordering critical components.
Problem Solving:
Investigate and resolve discrepancies, delivery issues, or production roadblocks quickly.
Quality and Compliance:
Verify incoming materials and coordinate with the QA department to ensure parts meet aerospace specifications before they move forward.
Documentation:
Assist with shipping paperwork and maintain accurate records of expediting activities.
