Who We Are Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry is a family‑owned business founded over 50 years ago. We handcraft some of the highest quality kitchen and bath custom cabinetry in the industry. Our product is sold through a network of 250+ retail dealers across America, primarily east of the Mississippi River.
Who We Are Looking For A few people to join our team in the areas of sanding, staining/glazing, and spraying. We want the best of the best. People who have a passion for wood finishes and the hard work that goes into creating a beautiful finished product. Our finishing facility is top‑tier with modern equipment. These individuals will be working independently at times but as part of a team that functions well together. We will teach the “Plain & Fancy” way of doing things but hope for someone with solid experience in this area of the industry, or a true desire to finish wood.
Requirements
Ability to learn how to read and comprehend cabinet orders
Self‑motivation is key, with ability to prioritize work and adjust plan of attack as needed
Excellent hand‑eye coordination
Familiarity with wood finishes
Preferred Skills (not requirements)
Experience in custom cabinetry
Professional spraying, staining, or sanding experience
Typical Work Week
4 days (Monday–Thursday 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.)
Averaging 38–42 hours per week
More time may be available in other areas or on Friday mornings during heavy work weeks
