Manufacturing Maintenance Tech
Plain & Fancy Custom Cabinetry is a family-owned business that has been handcrafting high-quality kitchen and bath custom cabinetry for over 50 years. Located in Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania, we serve a network of 250+ retail dealers primarily east of the Mississippi River. We are seeking a reliable, trustworthy maintenance tech to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
Use and service a variety of equipment, powered and non-powered.
Perform facilities maintenance and preventive maintenance.
Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment.
Fabricate new tools, jigs, and fixtures as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
Constant focus on operating safely.
Strong desire to learn and become knowledgeable about all equipment.
Ability to find cost-effective solutions to challenging problems.
Working knowledge of industrial-electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems; strong mechanical aptitude.
Comfortable working close to solvents and paints.
Understanding of schematics and some electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics preferred.
Self-starter with minimal supervision; proactive to avoid production downtime.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
Beneficial Skills / Background (Not Required)
Experience in custom cabinetry or related manufacturing setting.
Training directly from manufacturers of machinery or powered equipment.
Electrical, NFPA, OSHA, or other training.
Typical Work Week
4 days, 10 hrs per day (Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM)
Friday mornings as needed.
One shift only; no overnight shifts or weekends, though adjustments may be required for emergencies.
