Job Summary This role involves the safe and efficient performance of painting labor to complete construction associated with building cruise ships. The position requires an aggressive work ethic with a focus on production.
Key Responsibilities
Listen, comprehend, and follow instructions.
Prepare surfaces: pick up trash and steel, vacuum hull deck water, clean tools and equipment, perform solvent cleaning.
Maintain sandblasting and painting equipment: blast pots, hoses, nozzles, spray pumps, spray hoses, guns, tips, and air compressors.
Clean and prepare surfaces via sandblasting.
Apply primers (Zinc & Epoxy), intermediate coats (Epoxy, Urethanes), and finish coats (Acrylics, Urethanes, Anti Fouling).
Use professional coating applications.
Always practice proper safety procedures.
Follow foreman/supervisor instructions and keep the job site clean.
Perform any other duties assigned based on operational needs.
Requirements
Preferred: 1‑2 years of experience in related fields.
Developed verbal communication skills.
Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
Good hand‑eye coordination.
Safe use of all tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and with teams.
Physical Requirements
All types of physical movement required.
Use of upper and lower extremities.
Work outside in heat, inclement weather, and cold.
Crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, bend, and move around equipment, ladders up to 24 ft, heights up to 70 ft, stairs, scaffolds, through small accesses, enter tanks, confined spaces, hatches, and manholes during shifts.
Occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs.
Traverse uneven terrain, including loose pack gravel.
Work over bodies of water.
Mental Requirements
Normal visual acuity and hearing levels.
Must understand and follow directions.
Hand‑eye coordination required.
Hazards
Weather, fumes, high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, equipment, and vibration.
Shift & Hours
Monday – Friday
Day shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm
Evening shift: 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm
Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Benefits
Competitive pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge.

$20,000 AD&D life insurance + short‑term disability at no cost for full‑time employees.
$1,000 signing bonus for full‑time positions, paid in two increments after 60 and 180 days of continuous employment.
