AES, a division of Lennox, was established in 1988 and is one of the largest manufacturers of roof curbs and drop‑box diffuser systems in the nation. AES has expanded its capabilities with a Mechanical Services Division and is now a miscellaneous steel manufacturer. These new services reduce construction costs and eliminate coordination with multiple suppliers and subcontractors. AES has four fabrication facilities nationwide, helping customers reduce freight costs and shipment lead times.
About the Role An Assembler for Lennox AES in Tallassee, AL plays a crucial role in our production process by preparing components and assembling parts to create finished products. They follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to ensure accurate and efficient creation of products. Responsibilities include painting, finishing, and/or insulating products. This is a 3rd‑shift position: Sunday through Thursday, 10 pm–6:30 am.
Duties
Follow detailed instructions, blueprints, or diagrams to assemble components or products.
Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to perform assembly tasks.
Inspect and verify the quality of assembled products to ensure they meet specified standards.
Identify and report any defects or issues with components or finished products.
Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.
May perform other limited assembly, fabrication, production, or operator tasks of a standard nature.
What We Are Looking For
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination.
Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Able to learn how to operate basic machinery (e.g., Waterjet).
Able to paint and work with insulation.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, diagrams, or assembly instructions.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Compensation This is an hourly non‑exempt role. Starting pay is $18.00/hour with a $1.50 shift differential. Employees may earn overtime when working more than 40 hours per week, as required by state law.
