Manufacture high quality medical devices by operating semi-automated and automated equipment to maximize efficiency with minimal scrap and rework. Primary responsibility is operating plastics processing equipment to specified standards. This role involves plastics processing, equipment setup, packaging of medical devices, and reading/interpreting blueprints, travelers, and SOP codes, ensuring product acceptability. Starting pay:
$21.50/hour Responsibilities
Operates a variety of equipment in the plastics processing operation, achieving quality standards, production plans, department metrics, and cost objectives. Independently performs machine changeovers, including shutdown and start-up. Ensures components meet product specifications and established quality requirements. Performs minor adjustments and troubleshooting to maintain part specifications and conformity, following SOP/operational guidelines. Assists with preventive maintenance and basic upkeep of assigned machinery. Reads and interprets work schedules, travelers, bill of materials, blueprints, and SOPs. Records information on travelers, time tickets, bin tickets, stock issue/returns, and other documentation; operates bar coding and other computerized equipment. Sets up work station with necessary equipment and supplies per job assignment. Determines and follows proper procedures involving molding, packaging, weight counting, and operating equipment per specifications. Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory/legal requirements and quality standards. Maintains a focus on quality in all work performed. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education/Experience: High School or GED preferred; 1 year of demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Certificate/Licenses/Registrations: Education documentation required; other licenses/registrations are at candidate discretion. Reasoning Ability
Ability to define and analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; seek guidance when necessary. Other Skills And Abilities
Reading, writing, and basic math proficiency. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities related to quality and machine function. Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret diverse blueprints. Effective communication (written and verbal) and teamwork; strong organizational skills. Proficiency withMicrosoft Office; safety-minded and detail-oriented. Physical Demands
Potential to lift/move up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Reasonable accommodation available to perform essential functions. Regular standing and walking; repetitive movements with good hand-eye coordination and vision; attention to accurate documentation. Work Environment
