Part-time Adult Ed Welding Instructor

Applications are being accepted for the position of Adult Education Welding Instructor at 1601 W. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85201. This is a part‑time, ten‑month position working Monday‑Thursday, 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
Job Summary Under general supervision, the Welding Instructor will prepare students to acquire welding techniques and become product‑verified through weldment testing. Students will develop a working knowledge of blueprint reading and the welding processes for Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux‑Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) with the use of thermal cutting equipment. The instructor will also teach students about the tools and equipment required in the welding trade.
Salary : $34.46‑$52.25 per hour, placement based on education, industry experience, teaching experience, and certification.
Qualifications
3 years of verified occupational experience in the specific trade to be taught
Welding Instructor must have AWS Certification
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card
Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella for births after January 1 1957
