As a Technician at Penske, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability. Whether you’re fresh out of school or have some repair experience, this position offers growth, training, and industry certifications.
Main Responsibilities
Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
Use Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
Perform preventative maintenance such as tire replacement/rotation, component lubrication, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
Partner with your manager to learn new skills through Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
Work on additional projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
Valid driver’s license.
Problem‑solving skills and comfort using tools.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Basic computer skills.
Willingness to understand and comply with Penske safety and maintenance policies, including DOT, OSHA, and other regulations.
Full attendance and punctuality required.
Capability to maintain a DOT driver qualification file and comply with all driving regulations, including MVR, DOT physical, and safety performance records.
Willingness to work required schedule, location, and travel for training.
Physical Requirements
Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods during work hours.
Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, and operate tools and controls.
Work safely at heights using ladders or platforms.
Work in all weather conditions.
See and hear well to navigate busy workplace.
Regularly lift or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, sometimes up to 100 lbs/45 kg; frequently push/pull tires exceeding 100 lbs.
