Facilities/Cyclotron Maintenance Service Technician - Royal Oak, MI
Paid training and relocation assistance offered.
The shift for this position is 6PM to 2:30AM, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required as shift may change.
Base pay range: $52,720 - $79,080.
Responsibilities
Work independently to accomplish assigned tasks and maintain multiple cyclotrons, chemistry modules, and manipulator arms.
Monitor and positively affect financial and operational performance.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (EH&S, cGMP, Radiation Safety, pharmacy laws, DOT).
Incorporate new technology, products, and processes into daily operations.
Participate in personnel training and staff development.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with production team on strategic initiatives.
Respond to service support calls within a reasonable timeframe.
Complete and submit work history tickets and timecards, training, and expense reports promptly with all relevant details.
Schedule work and manage spare parts usage to minimize costs and maximize effectiveness.
Monitor and improve uptime for site cyclotron systems.
Assess semi‑complex product and equipment performance; recommend modifications and improvements.
Participate in routine biomarker production functions as needed.
Perform CCS upgrades.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
High School or GED required.
Strong hands‑on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Good PC skills (MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent low and high voltage, RF, and vacuum systems background.
Basic plumbing experience.
Very good mechanical abilities.
Experience setting up LAN systems and switches.
Willingness to learn about new software and hardware solutions.
Strong presentation skills, customer orientation, teamwork, and communication skills.
Minimum Education Required: High School/GED
