Job Description ROLE OVERVIEW
This individual will provide entry level plant service, machine shop and sawing duties at Amcor RE&D.
SCHEDULE
Monday‑Friday (7am‑3pm)
What You Get To Do
Regular operation of forklifts, band saws, and grinding/sanding equipment.
Perform basic machining.
Operate a basic foot shear.
Perform plant maintenance and upkeep.
Unload trucks, receive and verify materials through JobBOSS.
Skid and package parts for shipping.
Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory agency standards, as well as safety policies established for RE&D.
What We Value
Some machine shop experience or training is beneficial.
Good computer skills.
High level of initiative and self‑direction.
Good mechanical knowledge and blueprint reading ability.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain self‑control when faced with unexpected challenges.
Communication skills and teamwork.
Basic measuring and math skills.
What We Want From You
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience in machine shop (preferred NOT required).
Basic knowledge of Machine Shop methods and sawing equipment.
Valid driver’s license.
Basic knowledge of personal computers.
