REQ2025 - 9054Printpack is seeking a candidate for the Laser Laminator Assistant role. This position supports the operation of Laser Adhesive Laminators to produce high-quality laminated and/or perforated products while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The role reports to the Press Supervisor.
Shift Hours: 3PM to 11PM
An additional $2.50/hr. premium added to salary for hours worked between 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium.**Key Responsibilities*** Assist in the safe operation and setup of Laser Adhesive Laminators* Follow all safety policies and actively support a safe work environment* Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors, and support teams* Communicate production or equipment issues promptly* Learn and apply job specifications, quality standards, and technical documentation* Monitor equipment and processes to ensure product quality* Support continuous improvement initiatives* Assist with other machines as operational needs require* Meet performance expectations for productivity, waste, quality, safety, and attendance**Machine & Process Support*** Adhesive lamination, anti-fog coating, cold seal, OPV* Outboard and inline laser perforation (16-head systems)* High OTR structures, including fresh produce applications**Education/Experience:*** High School diploma or equivalent required* Stable work history* Previous experience using industry standard tools (pneumatic and electrical)* Previous experience with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.**Preferred Qualifications*** Manufacturing or printing experience preferred* Strong teamwork, communication, and safety focus* Willingness to learn advanced laminating and laser processes* Previous manufacturing experience preferred* Previous experience working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts preferred* Alignment with Printpack Core Values**Additional Requirements:*** Must be at least 18 years of age* Must pass pre-employment assessments* Drug screening required* Background check required**Physical Demands:** The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to:* Capability to lift and move up to 65 pounds* Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat* Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills* Ability to climb ladders safely* Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods* Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)* Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and motorized pallet jack certifications**Work Conditions:**The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to:* Noise levels above 85 dB* Operation of complex machinery* Solvents, fumes and inks within the plant* Variable Temperatures* Must be able to work flexible shifts* May require nights, weekends, and holidays.Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
