Base pay range: $45,000.00/yr – $75,000.00/yr
Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. is seeking a full‑time Paralegal for its Cottonwood Heights, UT office. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Job Summary The Paralegal will primarily support attorneys in insurance defense litigation. This hands‑on role involves collaborating closely with clients and firm personnel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Organize and analyze documentary evidence, including contracts, records, medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, investigative documents, and summaries; prepare chronologies and summaries as requested.
Draft and prepare correspondence and other written documents under attorney direction, such as responses, reports, filings, pleadings, answers, motions, interrogatories, contracts, opinions, position papers, and letters.
Prepare and manage subpoenas or other requests for information.
Maintain file organization and management, communicating with clients, witnesses, and experts.
Monitor files and promptly escalates attorney‑required issues, handling highly sensitive materials with care.
Maintain trial and discovery calendars, obtain trial settings, coordinate, and assist in preparation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
4+ years of paralegal experience in insurance defense litigation.
Utah Registered Paralegal designation (plus).
Discovery and trial experience preferred.
Proficiency in Utah State and Federal Court filing, including e‑filing.
Advanced computer skills: MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
Ability to work well in a team and exhibit critical thinking, superior communication, and organizational skills.
Decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands The employee must frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, stretch, reach, and lift supplies up to 25 pounds. Regular vision, hearing, and speaking are required.
Working Conditions Work occurs primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels and temperatures. The employee may be interrupted periodically.
