Base pay range $50,000.00/yr - $70,000.00/yr
Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. ("Porzio") is a highly-respected, well-established and expanding law firm with offices in NJ, NY, MA, DE, PA, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. We seek a skilled, highly organized, full-time Legal Assistant for our New York City office, with four years or more of administrative/office experience, to assist attorneys with various administrative matters.
Essential Functions
Draft engagement letters and open files for new clients and matters.
Manage monthly legal billing, including sending out invoices, collection follow up and interacting with the Financial Services Department.
Communications with client, including via telephone and email.
Calendaring and setting up meetings including teleconferencing and videoconferencing.
Submitting monthly attorney expense reports.
Tracking and maintaining attorney bar registrations and CLE credits.
Formatting external communications to be sent via letter or email.
Registering attorneys for seminars and coordinating travel arrangements if needed.
Ordering client gifts.
Provide assistance to paralegals, other legal assistants, as needed.
General office duties, such as opening mail, printing, scanning, copying and organizing/saving documents.
Other assignments as assigned depending upon skill set and/or desire to broaden existing skill set.

Education, Experience and Skills Required
Bachelor’s degree required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word Office Suite, Microsoft Teams and Zoom and DocuSign. Experience with iManage a plus.
Proficient in computers/computer software/technology, generally.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to perform job duties independently, proactively, accurately, efficiently and timely.
Attention to detail and follow-up.
Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills.
