Position Summary The Legal Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated
Paralegal
to join the
Labor & Employment Law Team . This role requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, confidentiality, and strategic thinking. The Paralegal will support managing employment‑related litigation and matters across the enterprise and help the team identify trends and risks through data‑driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive support to attorneys in managing a diverse docket of litigation matters, including class actions, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
Actively participate in conference calls and discussions with outside and in‑house legal counsel on case strategy, in preparation for mediation, arbitration or trial, and other matters as directed by counsel.
Facilitate discovery processes by issuing legal holds, coordinating documents and data collection, and ensuring timely compliance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel to gather facts, documents, and other case‑related materials to support legal strategy.
Contribute to case strategy development and assist in coordinating litigation and settlement efforts.
Monitor outside counsel adherence to company guidelines and track key deadlines, deliverables, and action items.
Independently manage wage claims filed with state agencies, including conducting factual research, evaluating allegations, and driving resolution.
Respond to requests for formal and informal employee records, including subpoenas, in accordance with applicable state laws and company policies.
Generate reports from a matter management system and support trend analysis and presentation development for leadership.
Conduct legal research in collaboration with the HR Policy team to ensure policies are compliant with changes in state employment laws.
Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as agreements, correspondence, and memoranda.
Lead or contribute to special legal projects and initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of litigation experience.
3+ years of investigative and research experience.
Paralegal certificate required.
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Tech‑savvy mindset with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Proficiency with legal research tools and document management systems (e.g., PACER, Westlaw, Legal Tracker).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Experience supporting litigation or agency matters involving wage and hour, discrimination, or immigration.
Strong understanding of Labor & Employment laws.
Familiarity with federal and state court systems.
Education Associate’s degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent related experience required.
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40
Time Type Full time
Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is $32.69 – $71.30 per hour. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
