Location: Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864
Base Pay Range $33.00/hr - $37.00/hr
POSITION SUMMARY Perform routine activities throughout the facility to maintain production equipment and prevent downtime. Activities include preventive maintenance, daily equipment repairs, following up on work orders, and troubleshooting to identify equipment issues. This position reports to the Plant Engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply technical knowledge to identify and contribute effective solutions to maintenance challenges.
Perform repairs and maintenance on industrial equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Replace and install mechanical components such as motors, cutting blades, air cylinders, heaters, and blowers.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, and replacement of filters, fan belts, and related components.
Troubleshoot and resolve control panels, thermal systems, and electrical components issues.
Maintain facility infrastructure, including lighting, gates, sprinkler systems, and general building upkeep.
Accurately document all maintenance activities and repairs using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Promote a safe work environment through consistent housekeeping and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with and provide support to other departments as operational needs arise.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

REQUIREMENTS
3 years of minimum industrial manufacturing experience
Advanced trades experience. (I.E., Electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
Excellent at troubleshooting
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment control systems
Must have pneumatic experience
Basic VFD knowledge
Basic PLC knowledge
Basic math/computer proficiency
Vacuum system knowledge
Ability to rebuild pumps, manifolds, and motors
HMI basics and comprehension
Basic welding skills. Tig is a plus
Liquid and powder transfer procedures
PVC Compounding systems knowledge
Extruder knowledge
Electrical distribution knowledge
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Able to withstand moderate physical activity (standing, walking, bending, stooping over, reaching, etc.)
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time.
Able to work overtime.
Ability to work 12 hour shifts; Mon-Thur
