Work Schedule:
4:30 PM – 1:35 AM

Primary Function Primarily responsible for keeping knives, scissors and shears (hand‑held hock cutters) sharpened. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
Keep knives, scissors and shears (hand‑held hock cutters) sharpened.
Ensure all knives are clean when given out and all accounted for when taken up.
Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers.
Complete all tasks assigned by members of management.
Follow directions and work in other departments as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Work unsupervised and self‑motivate.
Work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
Maintain a sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.
Preferred Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Relative poultry industry experience.
Basic math functions and skills.
Safety Requirements
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Physical Requirements
Work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC).
Stand for an 8‑hour shift.
Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO₂, and moving production equipment.
