**PAY:** $19.00/hour + $1,500 Sign & Stay Bonus**WORK SCHEDULE:** 4:30 PM - 1:35 AM**BENEFITS:** Available first day of hire**PRIMARY FUNCTION:**
Primarily responsible for Keep knives, scissors and shears (hand held hock cutters) sharpened. Must always use and maintain personal protective equipment, and work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.**RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:*** Keep knives, scissors and shears (hand held hock cutters) sharpened.* Ensure all knives are clean when given out and all accounted for when taken up.* Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers* Do all tasks assigned by members of management* Must be able to follow directions and work in other departments as needed.* Must be able to perform additional duties as assigned.****REQUIRED SKILLS:***** Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.* Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.* Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.**PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:*** High School Diploma or equivalent.* Relative poultry industry experience.* Basic math functions and skills.**SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:*** Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs.* Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*** Ability to work in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)* Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift* Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production### ### We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.A career that makes an amazing difference starts at **Wayne-Sanderson Farms**.
