STS Technical Services is hiring a team of experienced
MIG Welders / Fabricators
to join the team at Global Power Components in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin . This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with steady hours, great benefits, and year-round job security. Multiple shifts available with overtime always offered, never forced.
Position Overview We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented welders who want consistent hours and the opportunity to grow with an expanding, privately held manufacturing company. You'll be responsible for MIG welding fuel tanks and I-beam frames using flat, vertical, and overhead welding positions.
Responsibilities
MIG weld I-beam frames and fuel tanks ranging from 10-gauge to inch steel
Perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
Use clamps, hoists, cranes, and hand tools to secure and position workpieces
Tack-weld, grind, and bolt components into place
Read and interpret blueprints to complete projects accurately
Inspect welded products for quality, defects, and compliance with specifications
Requirements
Ability to read and use measuring tools, especially a tape measure
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints (critical to success in this role)
GMAW (MIG/MAG) welding experience preferred
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team
Must pass a hands-on welding competency test and pre-employment physical, including drug screening
